Reality TV Star Caught Apple Picking In Roxbury

Celebrity realtor and part-time Roxbury resident was seen picking apples with his family at a local orchard.

ROXBURY, CT —For celebrities and other well-heeled weekenders who own country retreats in Connecticut, October serves as a clear reminder why they go to the trouble and expense.

Fredrik Eklund, one of the celebrity realtors on Bravo's "Million Dollar Listing New York," owns a weekend getaway in Roxbury. This past weekend he and his family got away to a local orchard to engage in the time-honored Connecticut tradition of apple-picking.

"Apple picking with the family in Connecticut and it feels so effin good to be back. Now kids are making apple pie and dada is making apple margarita," he posted alongside a photo of his crew on Instagram.

Monday through Friday, the Swedish-born Eklund lives in Manhattan with his husband, artist Derek Kaplan, and twins Milla and Fredrik Jr. His reality show is in its eighth season on Bravo.

The couple bought their Roxbury digs as a retreat from their Manhattan apartment and weekly grind before they had children. Last May Eklund announced on IG that his Connecticut home would be available for rental during the summer.
