Region 15 Board of Education Candidates’ Forum Scheduled
The forum's purpose is to introduce the candidates running for a four-year term on the Pomperaug Regional School District 15's BOE.

From Region 15 PTO: Region 15 Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Advisory Council is hosting a Region 15 Board of Education “Meet the Candidates” forum on Monday, October 30 th at 6:30pm in the All-Purpose Room at Pomperaug High School. The public is invited to attend.
The forum’s purpose is to introduce the candidates running for a four-year term on the Pomperaug Regional School District 15’s Board of Education (BOE). At the event, candidates will have an opportunity to discuss the merits of their candidacy and address questions from constituents. All BOE candidates from both Middlebury and Southbury have agreed to attend.

In Middlebury, there are four individuals running for the two positions represented by Middlebury on the Region 15 BOE. Incumbent Paul Babarick (Republican) and Chris Evans (Democrat) and Amanda LaPrime (Democrat) and incumbent Richard Spierto (Republican). In Southbury, there are four individuals running for the three positions represented by Southbury on the Region 15 BOE. Incumbent Marion Manzo (Republican) and incumbent Pat Perry (Democrat) and Heather Rodgers (Republican) and Bryan Watson (Republican).
The PTO Advisory Council is comprised of parent-representatives from each of the seven schools’ PTOs in Region 15, the Superintendent of Schools and a Region 15 Board of Education representative. The council meets monthly with the purpose to enhance the communication between the PTOs and the Region 15 Administration. Additionally, its responsibilities include heightening budget awareness and helping citizens become better informed about their choices for elected representatives.
