Region 15 Names Volunteers Of The Year
Ten volunteers were recognized for their service to Region 15 schools at the Region 15 Board of Education Meeting.
From Pomperaug Regional School District 15: Ten volunteers were recognized for their service to Region 15 schools at the Region 15 Board of Education Meeting on Monday, April 23rd. Each year, district administrators and staff honor and recognize individuals for their contributions at each of the schools in Region 15. A volunteer reception, hosted by the Region 15 PTO Advisory Council, was held before the Board of Education meeting.
The 2018 Volunteers of the Year are Kasey Schneider from Pomperaug Elementary School; Michele Dunn from Middlebury Elementary School; Rachel Drago and Marisa Likar from Gainfield Elementary School; Kathryn Finkelstein and Marvin Wurth from Long Meadow Elementary School; Colleen Brower from Memorial Middle School; Jennifer Nikolich from Rochambeau Middle School; and Kathy DeAngelis and Yvette Lomaro from Pomperaug High School.
“Through our partnership with parents, volunteers, and in particular our Volunteers of the Year, we are able to continue our mutual goal of making our school community one of continued academic excellence. We thank and commend our Volunteers of the Year for their selfless volunteerism and their valuable contributions. Together, we are a stronger Region for our children and students,” said Regina Lemerich Botsford, Superintendent of Region 15 Schools.
