Region 15 PTO Council Coordinates Concert, Art Show, Discounts
The community is invited to hear Region 15 student musicians perform on Wednesday, May 2.
From the Region 15 PTO Advisory Council: The community is invited to hear Region 15 student musicians perform select music pieces and to view student artwork at a free Concert and Art Show at the Southbury Gazebo at the Southbury Green Shopping Center on Main Street South, Southbury on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 4:00PM to 5:30PM. The event is weather permitting and is hosted by members of the Region 15 Fine Arts Department and the Region 15 Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Advisory Council.
"This is an opportunity for us to showcase our students' talents with the community. We invite everyone to attend to browse the artwork and encourage you to bring a lawn chair or blanket, pack an early dinner and enjoy the concert," said Linnea Bronson, member of the Region 15 Fine Arts Department.
Members of the Region 15 PTO Advisory Council organized the event with additional volunteer assistance from the Region's district music and art teachers. The event coincides with the Region 15 Referendum.

In addition to the community concert and art show, the Region 15 PTO Advisory Council has coordinated with local merchants to offer special one-day discounts or specials to residents who ask for the Referendum Day Discount on May 2nd only.
“We want to share our enthusiasm and support for the Region 15 school system and the local businesses in our community,” said Christine Koobatian, PTO Advisory member.

The Region 15 School Budget Referendum is on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2018. Polls are open from 6:00AM - 8:00PM. Middlebury residents vote at the Shepardson Community Center and Southbury residents vote at the Firehouse on Main Street South.
