Region 15 Schools Begins Superintendent Search

SOUTHBURY, CT — The Region 15 school district has started a search for a new superintendent after outgoing Superintendent Regina Lemerich announced she plans to retire at the end of the school year.

Cooperative Educational Services in Trumbull will conduct the search. The next leader of the district is expected to be chosen in June or July.

"We, as a Board, take the responsibility of selecting a new superintendent very seriously,” said Marion Manzo, Region 15 BOE member and chair o the search committee. “We will do our best to bring forth a candidate that best exemplifies the attributes identified by our stakeholders.

C.E.S. Executive Searches will hold focus group meetings May 9 to hear what the community wants in the next superintendent. An online survey will be accessible May 1-14.
