Report: 150 People Apply to Become Southbury's Recreation Coordinator
A total of six people will actually interview for the position before someone is hired.

Now that’s a lot of interest in a job.
The Republican-American reports 150 people have applied for the new position of Recreation Coordinator, which pays a salary of between $35,300—$52,400 based on experience and education.
The Parks and Recreation Commission will choose six people to interview and then pick a person for the position, the Rep-Am reports.

According to the job description, “The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of the Recreation Services for the Town of Southbury.
The Recreation Division has just recently become part of the Community Services Department which includes: Social Services, Senior Services and Recreation which are located in the Community Center Building.

Minimum qualifications require a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or Leisure Services plus two years of related experience; or a combination of experience, education and training. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Municipal Recreation Department experience with summer camp and aquatic programs preferred.
