Report: After 2 Months Southbury Police Officer Resigns

Fred DuVerger, of Waterbury, who was hired in February as a Southbury police officer has resigned after two months on the job, the Republican-American reports.

In a letter to town officials DuVerger wrote that his resignation was with “mixed feelings” no reason was given, but the Rep-Am reports that many officers have left after a short time for better pay and career advancement opportunities.
