Report: Southbury Man Slows Down for Crossing Deer, Hit from Behind

William L. Johnson, 61, of Bullet Hill Road in Southbury slowed down and successfully avoided hitting a deer running across Interstate 84 east Friday morning but unfortunately it led to an accident, the Republican-American reports.

Police say Jennifer Belli, 44, of Lassy Road in Terryville, who was driving a Toyota Prius struck Johnson’s vehicle from behind, but no injuries were reported, the Rep-Am reports. A verbal warning was issued to Bell.
