Report: Southbury Nursing Home Fined Twice
The facility's representatives say corrective action has been taken.

The Springs at Watermark, East Hill, Southbury was fined twice by the state Department of Public Health over the past 12 months, reports the Connecticut Health I-Team.
The nursing home was fined $1,300 after two residents incurred injuries.

On one occasion, a patient developed a skin wound because of the improper use of an orthotic, and on a second occasion, a parent fell on the way to the bathroom, the I-Team reports.
The nursing home was also fined $1,600 for “lapses in communication” concerning a patient’s care.

An official with the nursing home said corrective action has taken place and they work hard to provide proper care for all of their clients.
