Restaurant Chain Opening First CT Location In Southbury
The new eatery is preparing to open this week in the Southbury Green shopping center.
SOUTHBURY, CT — A New Jersey-based Mediterranean restaurant chain is opening its first Connecticut location in Southbury this week.
Blue Fig Garden Mediterranean Kitchen announced it will officially open Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Southbury Green shopping center at 775 Main St. South.
The new eatery will serve Mediterranean cuisine including kebabs, shawarma, falafel, gyros, flatbreads, fish dishes and traditional desserts.

The restaurant also plans to offer Turkish coffee brewed on hot sand, a fresh juice bar and espresso drinks.
The Southbury location is the company’s first in Connecticut. The chain also operates restaurants in Cherry Hill and Wayne, New Jersey.

The restaurant will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
