IRVING BERLIN: FROM FIVE YEAR OLD RUSSIAN IMMIGRANT TO THE EMBODIMENT OF AMERICAN BELIEFS, IDEALS AND MUSIC. Noted composer Jerome Kern was asked, “What is Irving Berlin’s place in American Music?” Kern immediately replied, “Irving Berlin has no place in American music. Irving Berlin IS American music.” George Gershwin called Irving Berlin “the greatest songwriter that ever lived.”

Berlin’s music and patriotism will be celebrated in the musical revue “Irving Berlin’s Say It with Music” in performances at the Heritage Village Activities Center Theatre, Sarah Cooke Hall, on November 16 & 17 at 7:00 pm and November 18 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $15.00 and available to area theatre lovers as well as Heritage Village residents.
