Seymour Man Accused Of Operating A Drug Factory: CT State Police

SEYMOUR, CT — A 23-year-old Seymour man was arrested by Connecticut State Police Thursday on narcotics charges after troopers 9 pounds of marijuana, 1.6 grams of cocaine and other drugs during a raid of his Walnut Street home last month, according to authorities.

Saldi Hyska surrendered to state police Troop A in Southbury late Thursday morning and was charged with the following:

  • Possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) greater than 1 kilogram with intent to sell
  • Operating a drug factory
  • 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of paraphernalia
  • Improper prescription container

Armed with a search warrant, detectives with the Statewide Narcotics Task Force raided Hyska's home on Sept. 7, with assistance of the state police Traffic Services Unit and Seymour police, culminating an investigation into the distribution of narcotics from the home.

Using state police K-9 officers "Rory" and "Gerry," authorities seized the following:

  • Narcotics packaging materials
  • Digital scales
  • 1.6 grams of cocaine
  • 9 pounds of marijuana
  • 204 1-gram jars of THC oil
  • 133 THC edible candies
  • 187 THC chocolate bars
  • Approximately 252 THC vape cartridges
  • 3 Percocet pills

Bail and court date information were not immediately available.
