Southbury Attorney Gives Up Law License as Probe Continues: Report
The long-time attorney is accused of collecting excess fees, possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars worth.

Long-time Southbury attorney Robert J. Barry, 74, agreed to give up his law license for now as he is accused of collecting excess fees from the estate of Catherine W. Wilens, who died in 2014, the Republican-American reports.
Wilens lived at Heritage Village and her estate was valued at $9 million and its alleged that Barry collected $3 million in fees for his law firm, the website reports.
Barry has 70 pending cases before the Southbury Probate Judge and worked at the law firm of Sturges and Mathes.
