Southbury Business Owner Sponsors Weight Loss Program

John Leach, owner of the Flooring America store in Southbury, announced that the store is one of the silver sponsors the Waterbury Regional Chamber’s annual “Tighten Your Belt” (TYB) weight loss program created in partnership with the YMCA’s of Greater Waterbury and Naugatuck and will run from March 30 to May 29, 2015.

Leach recently made the announcement with support from Lynn Ward, president and CEO of the Waterbury Regional Chamber.

“Tighten Your Belt” is a 10-week weight loss challenge that offers a range of programs to help participants lose weight, and people can participate either as individuals or on teams of four. All participants receive free access to the YMCAs in Waterbury and Naugatuck during specific hours and will be able to attend TYB sessions at no cost. Programs will include Zumba at Spark Fitness, Crossfit Demo with Crossfit Reload, Yoga at the OM Center, a “Build-A-Butt” Class at Chase Fitness and more. Prizes will be given to the top three weight loss individuals and top team at the Waterbury Regional Chamber’s Health Care Council’s Awards Breakfast. Flooring America will also be a sponsor of that breakfast event.
