A minor attempted to purchase tobacco products at 14 local businesses in Southbury and on each occasion clerks checked for identification and refused to sell, the Republican-American reports.
Police officials say that shows that local businesses care about the youths and are diligent in upholding the law, the Rep-Am reports.
