Southbury Calls Town Meeting On Ballantine Pool Project
The town will weigh in on two measures related to the Ballantine Pool project.

SOUTHBURY, CT — The town of Southbury has issued a notice of a Special Town Meeting regarding spending on the Ballantine Pool project.
Here's the text of the notice:
Notice is hereby given to the electors of the Town of Southbury and those qualified to vote at a Town Meeting that a Special Town Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in Room 205 of the Southbury Town Hall to consider and act upon the following:

1. A proposal to reallocate the appropriation of $2.1 million, which was assigned for the purchase of Edgewood Bath and Tennis Club, to the Ballantine Pool project.
2. A proposal to authorize an expenditure of $170,000 for bids and specifications for the Ballantine Pool project (5% of estimated cost of $3.4 million for the project).
