Southbury Convenience Store/Gas Station Receives Final Approval: Report

The project means a gas station will be coming back to the area.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Consumers Petroleum received final approval to construct a 3,400-square-foot convenience store on Southford Road, reports the Republican-American.

The project will include four gas pumps and a canopy at 1141 Southford Road. The approval means construction can now commence. Members of the Southbury's Planning Commission spent time discussing proper landscaping on the site and exiting and entering the development, the Rep-Am reports.

The project means that existing nursery buildings, a house, and the former Southford Garage will be demolished.
