Southbury Culvert Repairs to Begin on Tuesday

Southbury officials expect some traffic delays in the area of the work.

The Town of Southbury is scheduled to begin culvert repairs on Lum Lot and Lakeside Roads on November 10, 2015. The project will make much needed repairs to the existing culverts. The projects are anticipated to take approximately two to four weeks, weather permitting.

The projects will begin with the insertion of the culvert pipes and continue with grouting of the pipes in place. Temporary lane closures may occur during the day over the project. Some road spot repairs will be done after the internal repairs are completed.

Once construction is complete, the Town will restore the affected surface areas by loaming, seeding, curbing, guiderails and pavement repairs.
