Southbury Firefighters Extinguish Basement Blaze

SOUTHBURY, CT — Firefighters extinguished a structure fire Tuesday night on George's Hill.

The Southbury Fire Department wrote the following in a Facebook post: "Last night at approximately 7:45pm, Southbury Fire was dispatched to a reported structure fire on George’s Hill. The first arriving officer identified smoke in the basement and crews rapidly took to work extinguishing the fire before it could extend beyond the basement."
