Southbury Food Bank Feeds 325 Families

The number of volunteers has grown from 22 to 80 in just three years.

Southbury Food Bank Volunteer Appreciation Party: The SFB had their annual event to thank their volunteers (now at 80 volunteers compared to 22 three years ago) at the Rathskellar on Sunday evening, according to First Selectman Ed Edelson.

Executive Director Ann Marie Galus notes some of the SFB’s accomplishments including serving over 325 families in Southbury.

Some have gone from being clients to donors in the course of a few years, while new clients come on all the time. Ann Marie outlined some of her goals for next year and thanked the many volunteers including three Pomperaug High School seniors who received special mention, Edelson wrote on social media.
