SOUTHBURY GARDEN CLUB SEEKING LOCAL PLANTS
SOUTHBURY GARDEN CLUB SEEKING LOCAL PLANTS FOR SPRING PLANT SALE
Last winter’s record breaking cold and snow has local gardeners eagerly awaiting signs of life in their gardens, and now is the ideal time to divide emerging perennials. This results in smaller, healthier plants, but often means there are too many plants for the available garden space. Few gardeners can bear to discard excess plants.
The Southbury Garden Club has the perfect solution to this dilemma; donate them to the club for their 15th annual Spring Plant Sale at the Gazebo on Main Street on Saturday, May 16th.
If you would like to contribute, but need help dividing your plants, club members will help dig and repot your donations. Plants can also be dropped off at 11 South Georges Hill Road the week prior to the sale. Please call beforehand for instructions.

The SGC is a non-profit organization and donations are tax deductible. Plant sale proceeds are used for an annual scholarship for a Southbury resident and other civic projects benefitting the local area. Their recent project at the Ballantine Park Pool House garnered them a major civic award from the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut.
