Southbury HeatSmart Event: Things To Consider When Buying A Heat Pump

Many Americans are switching to heat pumps since they are more efficient than a traditional heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system and can provide both heating and cooling in one unit. Our upcoming heat pump event on April 4, will help you determine which heat pump suits your home, sizing, life expectancy, factors to consider before installing a heat pump, costs and maintenance requirements to help you make informed decisions.

HeatSmart Southbury is an energy education and outreach program that helps homeowners sign up for the low-cost home energy assessments available through Energize Connecticut SM programs and learn about the latest heating and cooling technologies. Sustainable Southbury is partnering with Peoples Action for Clean Energy (PACE) to encourage the assessments and the adoption of zero-emission heat pump systems to heat and cool homes. Energy assessments and residential weatherization measures like insulation are some of the things that should be considered when buying a heat pump.
