Southbury Juniorettes Host Happy Noon Year

A New Year's Celebration Recommended for Children Ages 3 to 8 years old

The Southbury Juniorettes will countdown to a “Happy Noon Year” at a fundraiser Friday, December 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Southbury Parks and Recreation, 561 Main Street South.

If your kids can’t stay awake to see the ball drop at midnight, this celebration recommended for children ages 3 to 8 years, will provide all the festivities of New Year’s Eve with a countdown at 12 o’clock noon time.

Children will party around the clock at stations featuring crafts and games as they collect their New Year’s Eve paraphernalia including hats, crowns, leis, party blowers and more. Just before 12:00 p.m. everyone will gather for the countdown and a balloon drop thanks to the generous donation of 100 balloons by Shop Rite of Southbury. Young guests will also enjoy a bubbly toast to the New Year, lunch and dessert and an individual, celebratory New Year’s photo.

RMH serves as a ‘home-away-from-home’ for families and children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals.
