Southbury Officials Propose Town Budget

SOUTHBURY — The town of Southbury set a proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

The $21.2 million town budget, approved on Tuesday by the finance board, includes a two percent increase and 1.4 percent mill rate increase, The Republican-American reports.

Southbury has a nearly $45.5 million school budget. The town's responsible for 68 percent of the Region 15 Board of Education Budget. The remaining budget is picked up by the Town of Middlebury, The Republican-American reports.
