Southbury Open Houses This Weekend: Seven Heritage Village Condos, A Pool Retreat And More, Sept. 26-27

SOUTHBURY, CT — Southbury's open-house weekend has a strong maker streak. One Heritage Village listing points to the community's historic Winship Barn, a multi-use workshop with woodworking tools, metalworking, craft workshops and even a ham radio station, near more than 650 garden plots along the Pomperaug River. Out on Bucks Hill Road, a 44-by-60-foot barn waits for a car collector or hobbyist. And the Contemporary Cape on Old Field Road has had just one owner: the man who built it.

Eleven Southbury homes are holding open houses Sept. 26 and 27, with prices from $275,000 to $1,099,000, according to Zillow.com.

Saturday, Sept. 26

151 Lantern Park Lane South, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (also Sunday, noon to 2 p.m.) — $715,000. Tucked away on a peaceful cul-de-sac on 3.31 acres, this 1994 Colonial offers privacy and a well-equipped kitchen with granite counters, Viking double wall ovens and a Viking gas cooktop.
