Southbury/Oxford Coronavirus Updates: 19 Deaths Between 2 Towns

Southbury has had 16 coronavirus-related deaths and Oxford has had three.

SOUTHBURY, CT — The Southbury Senior Services Grocery Brigade has filled 485 orders over the past 19 days totaling more than $41,000 in purchased goods. The partnership between the town and Knights of Columbus offers Southbury seniors an option to get groceries without going to the store.

Orders should be placed for two weeks worth of groceries due to high demand. The current turnaround is about three or four days. More information here.

There have been 21 coronavirus-related deaths and 195 lab-confirmed cases between Southbury, Woodbury and Oxford as of Friday.

Southbury has had 16 deaths, Oxford has three and Woodbury has two.

Five of the Southbury deaths were residents between 90 and 99-years-old and six were for residents between 80 and 89. Four were for residents between 70 and 79 and one was a resident between 60 and 69.
