Southbury Police Issue Scam Warning

SOUTHBURY, CT — Police have issued a warning about scams on the department's Facebook page.

"Text messages like these are a scam and the sender should be ignored/blocked. The CT Department of Social Services (DSS) is not sending text messages for any programs at this time.

"If you or someone you know responded to these texts and provided their EBT information, they should immediately call 1-888-328-2666 to cancel their card and request a new one."
