Southbury Police: Waterbury Woman Charged With DUI For the Third Time

Southbury police say Delia Ponce-Deleon, 35, of Irving Street in Waterbury, has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol for the third time after her most recent arrest Sunday, the Republican-American reports.

Ponce-Deleon is accused of driving into four wooden guard posts on Route 172, police said, while adding they could smell alcohol on her breath, the Rep-Am reports.

She told police she was attempting to follow friends home from Woodbury but lost them.

She was released on a $1,000 bond.
