Southbury Resident Charged with DWI in New York
Police allege she was speeding on I-84.
SOUTHEAST, NY — A Southbury resident faces a DWI charge in New York after being stopped on I-84.
On Jan. 7, New York State Police arrested 23-year-old Laura M. Betancourth, and charged her with Driving While Intoxicated. They said they stopped her on Interstate 84 for speeding.
She provided a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .12 percent, police said.

Betancourth is due to appear in the Town of Southeast Court on Jan. 26.
