Southbury Resident Dorothy Crane Daddona, 68, Passed Away

Dorothy Crane Daddona, 68, of Southbury, CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2015.
Dorothy was born and raised in Stamford, CT, where she met her husband, Ben. They became High School sweethearts, married, and began a family together; relocating to Ridgefield, CT, in 1981, where they lived and owned a family business, Jenni’s Hallmark, for 22 years.
Dorothy and Ben lived in both Bethel and Southbury for many years following. For the last 14 years, Dorothy had been honored to serve as receptionist at Cascades Assisted Living at Bethel Health Care in Bethel, CT. Dorothy took delight in the personal touch of written correspondence; actively keeping connected to those close to her through regularly mailing cards to stay in touch even on ordinary days and remember her loved ones’ special days. She will be missed by all of those whose lives she touched.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Ben, and sisters Margaret and Joan. She is survived by her son Benjamin Daddona, daughter Jeanne Daddona Young, son-in-law Jake Young, brothers Jack and Bill, and sister Audrey, as well as her extended family and beloved friends.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday, October 18th from 4pm – 6pm at Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Avenue, Bethel, CT. Interment will be private.
