Southbury Residents Urged To Be Vigilant Over New Scam

Message from the Southbury Volunteer Firemen’s Association:

It has come to our attention that some Southbury residents have received telephone calls that claim to be soliciting funds for the Southbury Volunteer Firemen’s Association. The members of the SVFA are NOT making these calls, nor have we authorized anyone else to solicit in our name.

The Southbury Volunteer Firemen’s Association is NOT currently holding any type of fundraiser, nor do we ever use paid professional fundraisers to solicit funds via the telephone.
