Southbury Snow Removal Costs Adding Up
The town had to approve an additional $125,000 to purchase more sand and salt recently.

Southbury town officials had budgeted $194,600 sand and salt this year, but that money went quickly and officials request an additional $125,000 from contingency to purchase more sand and salt, reports the Republican-American.
Officials hope the additional salt will help the town get through the rest of the winter. The money for sand and salt doesn’t include overtime costs incurred either.
