Southbury Teen Charged After Physical Fight at Motor Lodge: Naugatuck Police

Police say one of the accused's tossed a rock at a car as well.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A juvenile and a Southbury teen were arrested after they allegedly got into a physical fight at the Motor Lodge in Naugatuck, which escalated and included a rock being thrown at a car, police said.

Police said at 2 a.m. on Feb. 20 officers responded to the Motor Lodge for a disturbance. The juvenile and Sonny Sutton, 18, of Old Field Road in Southbury, were staying in a room with friends, police said. They both got into an argument, which turned physical, and during the fight a chair was damaged inside the room, police said.

The accused threw a rock at the victim's vehicle damaging a window when they were leaving the parking lot, police said.

Sutton is charged with third-degree criminal mischief while the unnamed juvenile is charged with third-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief.
