Southbury Volunteer Firemen’s Association Juniors Excel

From Southbury FD: Four of the Southbury Volunteer Fireman’s Association’s Junior Corp members competed in the 46th Annual Engine 260 Antique Fire Apparatus Show & Muster Saturday, September 9th, at Eisenhower Park in Milford, bringing home four trophies including Best Overall Unit.

Jon Bicking, Emma Pascone, Allie DiMichele, and Luke Naylor combined to compete against three other junior corps including Seymour, West Haven, and Lake Carmel. In addition to earning the distinction of being the Best Overall Unit, the four placed first in the Bucket Brigade, and second in both Barrel and Ladders.

The Junior Corp supports the SVFA while learning about fire and emergency services in a safe and controlled manner.
