Southbury Voters Approve Town, School Budgets In Referendum

Southbury voters approved the town and school budget proposals in a referendum.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Southbury voters approved town and school budget proposals in a referendum Wednesday, according to an unofficial vote tally. The proposals call for the town to spend a total of $102,255,441 on municipal and education expenditures next year.

The town budget passed with 1,424 votes in favor and 242 against.

Voters approved the Region 15 Schools budget by a count of 399 to 328.
