Southbury Woman, 88, Injured in Car Accident Outside of Senior Center
Police say the woman accidentally hit the accelerator as she was parking in a handicapped spot and hit a tree.

Doris Walter, 88, of Heritage Village, was injured when her car hit a tree outside the Senior Center on Main Street South Thursday morning, the Republican-American reports.
Police say she accidentally hit the gas pedal as she was parking in a handicapped spot at the Senior Center and drove over a curb.
Walter’s car hit a parking sign and then a tree before it stopped, the Rep-Am reports. She was transported to a local hospital.
