Southbury Works to Inform Residents of Recycling Program
An outreach was held on Saturday to better educate residents on the kinds of materials they could recycle.

Southbury hosted an educational outreach on Saturday to recognize, “America Recycles Day”, the Republican-American reports.
Those dropping off materials at the Southbury Transfer Station were handed fliers detailing the types of materials that can be recycled through the single-stream recycling program as well as new materials that were being accepted at the transfer station.
Foreman Dan Troia told the paper recycling had gone up since the new recycling program started and the outreach was part of an effort to get the word out.
