Southbury's Public Works Director Retiring

He will remain on until his replacement is selected.

Southbury’s long-time Public Works Director Tom Crowe is retiring after leading the department for the past decade, reports Bill Bittar of the Waterbury Republican-American.

Crowe also serves as the town’s tree warden. He has offered to remain on until his replacement is found, officials told the paper.

His salary is $93,7330.

Crowe, 68, of Cheshire told Bittar that he is retiring because he is “not a kid anymore,” and wants to spend more time with his family. Crowe worked for the town of Cheshire for 24 years.
