Teen Accused Of Vandalizing Southbury Teacher's Home: Police
Police said five people were involved in vandalizing the teacher's residence, and additional arrests are expected.
SOUTHBURY, CT — An 18-year-old has been charged in connection with the vandalism of a Region 15 School District teacher's home, according to Southbury police.
The teenager turned himself in to the Southbury Police Department on an active arrest warrant Sept. 6, police said. The warrant stemmed from a July 31 incident in which police said the teen and four other people vandalized a teacher's residence in Southbury.
He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal trespass, according to police.

Court records show the charges are a Class B misdemeanor and Class C misdemeanor, respectively. The case is currently awaiting a plea in Waterbury Community Court.
The teen was released on a promise to appear and is next scheduled to appear in court Oct. 16, according to court records.
