Town Orders Future Use Study For Southbury Training School Site
A public workshop has also been scheduled for next week too.

SOUTHBURY, CT — The Town of Southbury Planning Commission has contracted with Milone & MacBroom Inc. to conduct a Future Use Study for the Southbury Training School site, the First Selectman's office announced.
The purpose of the study is to determine which uses may be viable based on market conditions, as well as the physical, environmental, and infrastructure characteristics of the site. The Future Use Study builds off of work previously completed as part of the 2012 Plan of Conservation and Development, the 2014 Comprehensive Campus Study, and 2015 to 2016 Environmental Investigations.
The Planning Commission will host a public visioning workshop on June 13th at 6:00 p.m. at the Southbury Fire House located at 461 Main Street South. Residents, businesses, and the general public are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts, ideas, and vision for the Southbury Training School site.
