The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that emergency road repairs, which require the closure of Kettletown Road in the vicinity of Burr Road, will begin on October 17, 2024.
Additional emergency road repairs are needed to complete the work on the 84” culvert installed as a result of the floods on August 19th. The work is anticipated to take approximately four weeks to complete.

DOT Project No. 0170-3758B was awarded to Dayton Construction Company Inc., on August 24, 2024 and is scheduled to be completed November 16, 2024. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 4 in Thomaston, CT.

Kettletown Road will be closed from October 17 to November 16. Traffic will be detoured onto Route 67, then onto Jeremy Swamp Road, and finally onto Burr Road.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
