Town Of Southbury Exit 14 Replanting Plan

The Town has received many inquiries regarding the trees marked for removal on Main Street South at exit 14. The tree removals are part of a State of Connecticut DOT highway and state road project designed to improve safety and traffic flow at that busy intersection. The project includes adding new dedicated turn lanes as well as a replanting plan.

Click to view the replanting plan. There will be over 30 trees and shrubs of different varieties, including flowering trees, and day lilies planted to replace the trees removed. Rest assured; the new plantings will continue to provide a beautiful aesthetic to our beloved Main Street South streetscape.
