Traffic Disruptions Expected During Southbury Water Main Project

The work is expected to continue for several months and could cause traffic delays on several local roads.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Aquarion Water Company has begun a water main replacement project in Southbury that is expected to continue through November.

The project, which started June 15, includes the replacement of approximately 7,435 feet of water main on Lakemere Drive, White Birch Drive, White Pine Road, Hi Low Road, Hornet Nest Road, Indian Trail, Rock Ridge Road and Hilltop Trail.

According to Aquarion, the work is part of an ongoing effort to improve the company's water distribution system, reduce leaks and help prevent water main breaks that can lead to service interruptions.
