Troop A Southbury State Police Help Injured Hawk

Troopers found a hawk with an injured wing and helped transport the hawk to a rehabilitation center.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Troopers from Troop A Southbury responded to a report of an injured hawk on Route 7 south on Tuesday near the area of exit 11 in Danbury, according to a police statement.

Trooper McKinney and Trooper Pikul responded and located the hawk, which had an injured wing and was unable to fly.

With the help of Connecticut State Environmental Conservation Police, the hawk was safely transported to a nearby wildlife rehabilitation center for treatment.
