Vein Clinics of America Announces Grand Opening of Southbury Clinic; Introduces Desiree Clarke, M.D., R.P.V.I.

Vein Clinics of America announced the appointment of Desiree Clarke, M.D., R.P.V.I, to lead the team at its soon-to-open Southbury clinic.

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. (Feb. 14, 2017) – Vein Clinics of America today announced the appointment of Desiree Clarke, M.D., R.P.V.I, to lead the clinical team at its soon-to-open Southbury, Conn., clinic. Scheduled to open doors on Monday, Feb. 27, and accepting appointments now, the state-of-the-art clinic will be Vein Clinics of America’s first in Southbury.

Dr. Clarke, a graduate of New York University School of Medicine, previously practiced in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Lukes/Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan, NY. Most recently, she served as the lead physician at Vein Clinics of America’s Greenwich, Conn., clinic and is excited to call Southbury her new home.

As a member of the Vein Clinics of America physicians network, Dr. Clarke has undergone extensive training in phlebology, the diagnosis and treatment of varicose vein disease and related disorders, and has been trained in ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy and endovenous laser treatment (ELT or ELVT).

“I’m delighted to help launch the Southbury clinic and assume the role of lead physician,” said Dr. Clarke. “My patients can expect a significant improvement in their quality of life upon receiving treatment and this is mutually gratifying.”

Current and prospective patients can meet Dr. Clarke at the Southbury clinic’s Grand Opening event, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, Mar. 9.
