Victims Restrained, Assaulted, Robbed In Southbury: Police

One of the victims was stabbed in the crime.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Two men were assaulted and robbed at a construction site in Southbury on Tuesday, according to state police. Southbury police received a call at 12:33 p.m. from a woman who said that two men approached her in the road asking that she dial 911 for them.

One of the men appeared to be suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. The injured man was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

State Police Western District Major Crime Detectives began the investigation. Detectives learned that the victims had been working construction at a home on Bucks Hill Road in Southbury. Two men allegedly entered the home, one armed with a gun and the other with a knife.

The victims reported that they were restrained, assaulted, and robbed by the two men. Detectives have determined that one of the victims knows the suspects.

Police believe this to be a targeted, isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.
