Volunteer Groups Pitching In To Help Southbury Neighbors

Southbury Teen groups join Southbury Police Department and Southbury Needy Fund bringing Christmas to their neighbors.

Southbury groups are coming together this month to help bring Christmas cheer to our community!

Saturday, December 2, several members of the Youth and Adult fellowship groups from Southbury’s Calvary Chapel joined members of Pomperaug High School’s community service club, “Interact,” to help sort and bag winter clothes and toys for local families in need.

The volunteers joined together for a happy afternoon sorting warm woolies for nippy days; school, art, and sports supplies for young scholars; and shiny new toys to light up a child’s smile. All of the toys sorted were from the Southbury Police Department’s second Toy Drive at the Southbury Plaza. The Police Officers did a superb job of holding two toy drives that brought in many toys and clothing items.
