The hawk was found in a resident's swimming pool last week.

Last week a Jacob Road resident found a live juvenile hawk in her swimming pool. She rescued it with a net and used a hair dryer to dry it.
Then she called us and the Southbury Animal Control Officer Marilyn Muratori-Jarvis took it to the Roxbury Veterinary Clinic where the youngster was checked by Dr. Paul Elwell. The hawk was given a clean bill of health and was released at the location it was found.
