Yale Russian Chorus to Perform at Christ the Savior Orthodox Church

Christ the Savior Orthodox Church, 1070 Roxbury Road, will launch a year-long 25th Anniversary schedule of events by hosting the Yale Russian Chorus on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 4 pm at the church.
Tickets are priced at $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and children under 12. Tickets may be procured by contacting concert@christsaviorchurch.org. Further information may be obtained by calling 203-267-1330.
The Yale Russian Chorus, directed by Mark Bailey, is a tenor-bass a capella ensemble specializing in sacred and secular choral music. Chorus members are Yale students from a variety of academic disciplines. The chorus is recognized as one of the world’s premier performance ensembles of Slavic music today.
Christ the Savior church was established as a mission station in Southbury in Spring 1991. The first Divine Liturgy was held at the Oxford living room of the current pastor, Archpriest Vladimir Aleandro on June 15, 1991.
Christ the Savior moved into its current four-acre site on Roxbury Road in 2004. First services in the new church were celebrated on Sept. 4 and 5. The church is built on one floor and is completely handicapped accessible.
