17-Year-Old Killed In Connecticut Crash; 4 Other Teens Seriously Injured: Report

Police say eight teens were inside the vehicle that crashed just after midnight.

PLYMOUTH, CT — A 17-year-old is dead after a motor vehicle crash occurred in Plymouth, Conn. just after midnight Saturday, according to NBC Connecticut. A total of eight males were inside the car that crashed at the intersection of Town Hill and Cross roads.

The eight males all were between 16 and 18 years-old, according to reports. Four people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, NBC Connecticut reports. Two teens fled on foot initially but were later found by police.

A resident reported the crash at 12:23 a.m. after hearing a loud noise, Fox 61 reports. A LifeStar helicopter transported the 17-year-old to the hospital where he would die as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

No identifications have yet to be released. State Police are investigating.
